Getting to Hope Town Harbour Lodge
It's just a hop, skip and a jump
Our close proximity to Florida makes travel to Hope Town easy, but it is also a bit of an adventure. Since it's a small island, you'll ultimately arrive by boat, like everything here does. Sometimes the big travel sites like Expedia and even your local travel agent can have a little trouble piecing the trip together, so take a look below. If you have questions or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are more than glad to walk you through it.
Here is the basic travel plan for most of our guests:
FLY TO MARSH HARBOUR
You can find flights all the way through to Marsh Harbour International Airport (MHH) on the big travel sites, but it pays to look at some of the smaller commercial and charter airlines, too. There are direct flights from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm Beach, and Nassau.
FERRY TO HOPE TOWN HARBOUR LODGE'S PRIVATE DOCK
Once you're on the ground in Marsh Harbour, take any taxi to the Public Ferry Dock (they're easy to find, friendly, and it's about $15/person for the 20 minute ride).
Tell the ferry captain you're headed to Hope Town Harbour Lodge. He'll radio ahead and we'll be waiting for you at our dock.
Alternatively, you may want to consider renting a boat for your stay, in which case several rental options are available in Marsh Harbour, and we are only four miles away. Once at Hope Town Harbour Lodge, dock for free with us and come on in.
Travel tip, pardon the pun: Tipping on the ferry is just like home; tip according to the quality of service. Customarily, captains and porters usually receive $1 per bag.
